  Had a great long weekend at Barton Gate Farm. Clean and comfy accommodation, dog friendly and close to Bude and surrounding countryside.

Our welcome by Paula... read more was warm & friendly; basically gave us the run of the place. Our room was compact, yet had everything we needed and more. A big plus for us; the room was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and bed linen smelt fresh. Extra's such as a microwave, under counter fridge, crockery & cutlery, table & chairs, a 'spare fold out sofa come bed' even mirrors were placed at a suitable height for us shorter females to use! Situated about 5 miles from Bude, just on the River Tamar (Devon/Cornwall border) it was really no distance from any 'touristy' spot in Devon/North Cornwall. We had a great time and would most probably go again. Value for money was excellent. In fact, having read my review, and not even mentioning a continental breakfast is also included, I'm going to change my grading to 4 stars, you and your staff deserve it Paula-Rae.

We stayed in room 1 of the cabins,... read more the room was very spacious and spotlessly clean, fresh towels and cleaned both days. Breakfast was great the continental was plenty and the cooked breakfast was superb. The location is within easy travel to bude and surrounding areas. Our dog milo loved his stay there's a dog field on the farm that's closed off so great for letting him run around and burn of energy. He felt right at home. We loved it so much we've booked to come back in August. Thank you for a great stay Paula can't wait to stay again.

ContinentAl breakfast was perfect. A nice selection of fruit, cereal, pastries, toast etc.
Cooked breakfast was a reasonable price. my husband enjoyed it (he mentioned the fried bread was good :) )

A nice touch were the animals. My three year old loved looking At the goats and feeding the fish in the morning.

Friendly services all round. We wouldn’t think twice about returning. Hoping to be back soon.

It’s in a ideal location away from the hustle and bustle so peace and quiet, the owner was extremely welcoming and really attentive to your needs, the room we had, room 7 was a really good size and a bed that you will literally melt into,
Continental breakfast is included in your stay but a full cooked breakfast is available for a small charge. I can’t recommend Barton Gate farm enough.

My son loved feeding the animals still talks about the goats even got to see... read more the resident cow and her calf. Breakfast superb especially the full English. Lots of choice also. Nice to sit outside on a summers evening really friendly feel to the whole place we loved it !!

  Everything about Barton Gate Farm is perfectly thought out, every need is anticipated and met. Some examples are tip top comfortable beds, air con, endless power shower, zen decor with... read more lovely touches and so comfortable, snuggle down bedding, if you need something it is there, everything provided is of the highest quality from TV to hairdryer, to pillows and duvet, towels and bed linen - leaves a feeling of being pampered. The food and breakfast is incredible, best fruit salad ever had, perfectly cooked breakfast again all exceptional quality, every speciality tea imaginable, iced water and juices, lovely places to sit and eat and stare. On top of all that the location is a delight, the farm is full of sunshine, kids loved the animals, games room and trampoline, really chilled vibe, lovely hosts friendly, generous and laid back, lots of local knowledge freely shared, we took our young pup with us, a warm welcome given to Mutley Mila too, no stress, safe exercise field on hand - seriously special place, Julian and Paula have created a little bit of heaven and make it look effortless - thank you both, three nights away worth the world

  Lovely place to stay, superb atmosphere around if you looking for sweet and quiet place to escape. Very friendly welcoming stuff will show you everything you need to know on... read more arrival. Room are so cozy and warm that you never get cold. It is also welcomed for your pet. I think it is worth it to stay for holiday break. We will come back here again next year for sure

Spotless and clean and fresh tea and coffee supplied.

Breakfast was reasonable continental supplied with price and cooked as extra.

Games room needs some TLC but was not bothered to that.

Main thing was room and it was really good.

Would recommend certainly.
